Jarrod Davidoff History

Jarrod Davidoff was born on 15 December 1972 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He was born Jewish, to both Jewish parents and attended Synagogue where he was taught to follow the Jewish religion and laws of Moses.

When Jarrod was only eight years old, his father suffered a stroke which left him crippled for life and not able to ever speak again. His father's friends and family quickly deserted him and gave up visiting him and he remained in this condition until his death when Jarrod was 19 years of age.

Jarrod was no stranger to pain. At school he was targeted by a gang of bullies that tormented him daily. They would beat, spit and swear at him and constantly embarrass him in class by ridiculing him.

After graduating from school he went on to complete his one year compulsory national military service. During this time he was again persecuted and targeted by his anti-semetic, racist aggressors. He was often threatened with death and violence. After completing his military service, Jarrod began searching for the true meaning to life. Then tragedy struck - his dad died!

 That Wonderful Day

At twenty years of age, after a series of life events, Jarrod began to research if Jesus was the promised Messiah to the Jewish people. Jarrod finally received Jesus as his personal Lord and Messiah. He identified with the redemptive work of Salvation that Jesus went through, to take away his sins and became a child of God.

His Family's Reaction

Most of his family rejected him because of his faith, yet despite this, he has shared the gospel with most of them. He was taken to numerous Rabbis, in an attempt to win him back to Judaism, yet the hand of the Lord was upon him to guide him and protect him. Growing up in a Jewish community had its share of challenges, but Jarrod rose to the occasion and was always compassionate and passionate in sharing his message.
