Finishing strong in your life and projects

“Do you know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize.” 1 Cor 9:24

I believe that the Lord does not just want us to be good starters on projects or challenges we face only but great finishers too. In fact, it’s not how you start that counts but how you finish. Are you running life in such a way to get the prize?

Put your faith in the Lord

We all face challenges in life on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. It’s important to know that during these troublesome times that the Lord is on your side. He loves and cares for you and will rescue you from despair.

He endeavours to lead, guide and provide for us. It’s His joy to do these things as He is our kind loving, heavenly Father.

This week I was reminded again that the world is watching us at all times, asking questions, looking at our actions, listening to our words. And every day we have an opportunity to share Jesus with those that are around us. This is why the apostle Paul says that we need to be ready in and out of season to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our enemy the devil breathes out threats daily against us, the children of the Lord and tries to instil anxiety and fear and confusion in our personal lives, work place and ministries. But the Bible tells us to be sober minded and to keep our minds set on Jesus.
