About 58 935 SALVATIONS in our TEMBISA CAMPAIGN-SOUTH AFRICA-Feb & March 2005
Jarrod and the Team conducted 39 school campaigns and a mass 4 day Easter Campaign during the Tembisa Campaign in South Africa. About 58 935 people responded by receiving Jesus throughout this campaign. According to government statistics there are approx. 280 000 people who live in the city. This means that during the campaign,approximately 21 percent of the people of Tembisa were led to the Lord.
Tembisa is an economically disadvantaged community and most of the school campaigns were conducted next to shacks and low cost houses .
What a joy it was to witness thousands of students each day receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior. 87 pastors and leaders gave their commitment towards the Campaign and are now responsible for the enormous follow up programme.
Every school has been be adopted by a group of pastors in the area. Each person was also given a follow-up brochure with a list of 175 churches in Tembisa and a list of Christian TV programmes to view.
