Conducting a City-wide School Campaign

HOW DO WE REACH ALL THE SCHOOLS IN EACH CITY?

-We start looking at cities across South Africa (sometimes Southern Africa) one or two years in advance that we will reach out to depending on what financial resources we have for us to sustain such a large team there
-We get a list of every school in the city and region from the education Department and see how long we would stay there based on the fact that each of the 6 teams do a day long school campaign, equaling 36 schools a week and 144 schools a month in a full month.
-We then decide on whether to send all our 6 teams to that city if it is a mega city or we divide our teams up in the region
-ADVANCE TEAM: We normally send 2 of our team members into the city a month to 6 weeks before the campaign starts to book the first month of schools for the 6 STWF Teams we have. When the campaign starts each team becomes responsible for booking their own area of the city.
-We contact all like minded churches, youth organizations and youth groups to partner with us to adopt each of the schools we reach out to. We present them each with a list of all the schools and the dates that the outreach is planned for. We look for them to commit to going back weekly to the school to mentor the students in assembly time and classroom time during their Guidance Time period.

Daily School Outreach Schedule

6-15am All 6 teams leave our designated base to drive to the school
7am Arrive @ School
7-40am to 8-20am School Assembly (all students)
8:30am to 2pm
-Three to five Classroom sessions at a time throughout the day with our 3 STWF Team members and Interns (15-30 classroom sessions a day/school depending on how many volunteer organizations help us on the day)
-We conduct all day one on one and group counselling to of at-risk students that come voluntarily to share the most devastating and traumatic things a child can go through and are ministered to by our STWF Team members, adopting churches and STWF Interns
